COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The king of the abbey beers. It is amber-gold and pours with a deep head and original aroma, delivering a complex, full bodied flavour. Pure enjoyment! Secondary fermentation in the bottle. (Temp: 8-10ºC)

light spicy aroma, biscuity sweet taste with wonderful candy character - somewhat like clover honey. suspended yeast even with gentle pour, does not appear to impact taste or aroma. thick sediment at bottom of bottle. this is a beautiful beer and a great night cap (by the pint!). suggest pairing with a sweet & spicy dish with moderate heat and caramelization.

Gives a stronger sense of accomplishment than the its double counter-part. The taste of full bodied flavors of malts, fruits and mild candy sugar makes this a special treat.

The aroma has light fruit, yeast, sugar, and perfume. The appearance is golden with a light haze and a huge head that keeps lasting. The flavor is like the aroma with some bitterness. The palate is thin. I like this one but that’s all.

Cork exploded to ceiling, pours a five+ finger smooth cream head that fades very slowly leaving a good lace. Cloudy amber color. Strong carbonation and medium bodied. Slight malty nose. Flavor sweet and tart, finish is tart. Tastes different from the last time I had this in 12/2001. $6.22 for a 750ml bottle from Smiley’s Beverages Dover, NH.

Pours a hazy gold with a nice foamy white head. Aroma is yeasty. Tastes sweet with some malt, banana and yeast. Very smooth. The finish lingers on the palate for a while.

1995 bottle at Kulminator. Clear amber with a lively carbonation and a lot of sediment. Raisins aroma with cellar notes. Sweet raisins flavours, combining with a good dry finish. Time has done this beer, reflected in the relatively high rating.

Veer (362) - Landskrona, SWEDEN - APR 6, 2007
Aroma: neutral, yeasty, some tropical fruitness & light malts.
Appearance: lion yellow, clear & with a white, quickly setting head...
Flavour: pleasant, sweet with good bitterness for a Belgian... the sweetness, however, is a little bit too lingering. Overall neutral profile. Somewhat rowan & apple.
Palate: a bit slimy, lots of co2 as tripels usually have...
an ok tripel
