COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The king of the abbey beers. It is amber-gold and pours with a deep head and original aroma, delivering a complex, full bodied flavour. Pure enjoyment! Secondary fermentation in the bottle. (Temp: 8-10ºC)

Very Nice. Yeasty and spicey. With tastes of orange and corriander. Nice finish. A great beer.

Thin-looking pour that settles into a neat, soft, half-inch head over a cloudy orangey straw body. Clean, persistent nose of pear, yeast, maybe pineapple. Initial sweetness is mild and not lasting, evolves into a complex, somewhat sour and spicy (pepper, coriander) flavour. Full body, some alcohol burn, slightly viscous. A fine, complex and highly evocative beer. Damn, I miss Europe...

Wow - what a wonderfully complex flavor, and a nice yeasty spiciness. A bright gold hue with a fluffy white head. The carbonation helps the brew to spread across your tongue and dissolve into thin air.

Bottle at Grand Cafe, A’dam. Very pleasant tripel. Slight orange taste. Heavy fermentation. Sweet. Slightly bitter finish.

Light and cloudy, with a billowy head. The aroma is fruity, with pears as the predominate aroma. The best description of the body I can give is soft. It has a warm mouth feel, with a sweet, tart finish.

Drank in a tulip glass. Nice golden hazy poor. Great off white thick head. Aromas of allspice, pear, spruce resin, bread. Flavors are preaty much the same as the aromas. A little bitter with a nice smooth and sweet finish.

Pours golden orange/amber with good carbonation, thin frothy off-white head and leaves generous lacing behind. The aroma is sweet apples and smoke. Flavor is a well balanced medley of fruit (apple, pear, white grapes) and rich barley malts, hops with just the right dose of alcohol. Its palate is warm and rich with sweet smooth finish for a triple. Affligem for me went from great (blonde), better (brune) to best (tripel).

sampled from 750 courtesy of Dan...pretty hazy golden with medium carbonation and a medium frothy white head. Aroma is spices/yeast/some fruit...and is earthy, taste is the same with a touch of banana, sweet light fruit/pears, lightly tart finish. pretty good tripel.
