3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 flemmingwillum (687) - Copenhagen S, DENMARK - OCT 28, 2006
UPDATED: JAN 24, 2010 Lovely yeasty and flowery aroma, with a careful alcoholic impression, too. The flavor is very malty, quite sweet, and includes a good amount of alcohol, though never too much. This beer is almost perfectly balanced. The finish is alike the flavor, flowery from the hops, and has an obvious bitter hopped finish. Affligem Tripel is probably not very unique, but it tastes good, smells good, feels good, looks fine and simply gives a good impression and drinking expierience.

i actually remember thinking this tasted really weird and unappealing. not at all a tripel. now that i think about it, it maybe was kinda close to the rulles tripel. either way, i want more candi sugar and way less hops.
