COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The king of the abbey beers. It is amber-gold and pours with a deep head and original aroma, delivering a complex, full bodied flavour. Pure enjoyment! Secondary fermentation in the bottle. (Temp: 8-10ºC)

Not too shabby. Good head retention and strong flavors of alcohol and overwhelming hops. I know there are better out there but this one is drinkable.

Cork Bottle. Very carbonated. Large whitish head, lots of lacing, orange, hazy appearance. Aroma is mildly yeasty and a little alcohol and spice in nose. Flavor is similar with fruitiness--plum and citrus mixed in with the yeast. Flavor is quite robust. The alcohol in aftertaste is mild--and really darn deceptive!

Bottle. Very good. Looks like a classic Affligem. Spicy, some citrus in taste. Floral aroma. Maybe be a bit to much of alcohol.

Bottle from Super Saver. Hazy dark straw pour with 2-finger off-white head. Aromas of floral spices, hopcitrus, yeasty funk notes. The flavor was dry, floral, spicy, and citric, with some yeasty funky malt notes as it warmed. Very complex and well balanced, this is an outstanding tripel.

Very Nice. Very Drinkable. Not as intense or complex as many of the tripels that I’ve had, yet quite enjoyable. Pouring a hazy amber body with a creamy off-white head, it’s got a soapy, yeasty aroma with sweet malt, oranges and apricots, dried flowers, and some peppery spicing. The taste much reflects the aroma, the sweetness taking a honey-like turn, the flowers bittering some, and the alcohol making itself known. It finishes on a mildy bitter/tart note. Good stuff.
