Dark amber borwn. Thin head. Fairly rich caramel malts with some old ale fruitiness. Sweet, light toffee character. The finish brings some of that fruit in as well, and a dash of alcohol.

Bottle 550ml. A cloudy dark brown colour with a brown thin head. An aroma of malt, caramel, bread, alcohol and fruit. The taste is medium sweet and medium bitter. A medium body and soft carbonation. A fairly long fruity finish.

Aroma: Sweet molasses, dark dried fruit, alcohol, Appearance: Hazy brown body. Spare light-brown head. Flavour: Medium-sweet, dried fruit, medium-bitterness. Palate: Medium body. High carbonation. Alcohol warming. Overall: Do not be fooled by the name, this is NOT a Bitter! I think this beer will go down great with a plate of rich food. 440 ml bottle, poured. 18B. Belgian Dubbel

Bottle from brewery. Cloudy brown with stable coffee colored head Although yeasty on the nose and palate, it works here, offering a nice body with a natural feel...the malt character is rich and lovely throighout. Bready and good
