COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Not your typical "Jelly of the Month Club" beer. Dark roasted malt and bittersweet cocoa and coffee flavor and aroma burst from this pitch black milk stout. The full body and sweetness are derived from the addition of lactose (aka milk sugar) which is not fermentable by beer yeast. A healthy dose of English Kent Goldings hops provides a counterpoint to this aleís rich and complex maltiness.

An aroma of chocolate milk and roasted malt, pours a dark brown with a short lasting tan head with tight lacing. A delicious sweet chocolate malt, with a creamy full mouth feel and a roasted malt finish.

This canned brew from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized brown colored bubbles that were quickly diminishing and left behind a no visible carbonation opaque dark black brown colored body and a poor lacing. The nice aroma was brown malt. The thick mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a lingering mild roasted malt aftertaste. The yummy flavor contained notes of black malt roasted malt brown malt and hops. Delicious and one I would certainly like to have again.

This is a very rich, very sweet stout that works great as a dessert beer. It pours very dark brown, there isnít a lot of foam. The aroma is like a chocolate candy sampler box. Caramel, chocolate, cream, walnuts, and other sweet notes. The flavor is as sweet as beer can get without being too sweet for my palate. All of that chocolate and candied character is present atop a rich, smooth, delicious malt. I like this beer very much.

$3.65 pint can from Wine Warehouse. Pours nearly black with a large brown head. Aroma is sweet chocolates, lightly floral, oatmeal. Taste is chocolate milk and coffee, or iced coffee with cream. Sweet and delicious.

Pours black with brown head. Medium body. Extremely sweet from the milk sugar, very creamy with roasted malts, bitter chocolate and very light coffee flavor.

Call me obtuse but I donít understand a damn thing about 35Kís cool-but-weird can art or the cryptic deScription. Still, Iím fully on board with the beer inside. Wow, thatís a pretty pour. Black body with a creamy head that slowly billows to an even, tight blanket of foam. 35K has a real thick pour and a real full body for a Stout thatís not quite an Imperial. This beer seems huge for the moderate 7%. Velvety feel - not too much warmth, but pretty viscous. Delicious milky chocolate flavor. Iím still getting acquainted with AtG, yet I feel this will be a long-standing favorite.

Nice deep dark color and head. Heavy aromas of chocolate and coffee. Sweet and creamy chocolate and coffee flavors with a nice bitterness at the end.

Pours a dark brown with a short, rich, caramel-colored head. Dark roasted malt nose with chocolate and smoky notes. Given the nose, the flavors of the beer are no surprise. Moderately thick on the palate. Good stout.

Can into a pint glass. Pours black with a medium tan head. Good lacing. Nose is coffee and dark chocolate, and the taste follows. Slightly sweet as a milk stout should be. Good stuff.

16oz can. Pours black with a tan head. Defiitely one of the better milk stouts I have tasted mostly because the lactose is so well offset by the burnt roast flavors of the malt so itís not as sweet as most of the other ones out there.
