Keg at Indy Man Beer Con. A black colour with a thin, mocha head. Aroma of roasted malts, black coffee, some soy sauce, slight chocolate fudge, cocoa, oak, subtle vanilla and soft liquorice. Taste of chocolate fudge, some toffee, oak, slight vanilla, subtle liquorice, a hint of soy sauce and bourbon. Full bodied and smooth texture. A warming, bourbon tinted, dark chocolate bitterness in the finish. A rich, full flavoured, warming imperial stout. The chocolate fudge taste with oak and vanilla goes wonderfully. Superb.

4.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
This draft brew from a restaurant poured a extremely small sized head of foamy finely sized dark brown colored bubbles that were quickly diminishing and left behind a no visible carbonation opaque dark black brown colored body and a poor lacing. The nice aroma was roasted malt dark malt and toffee. The mildly vinous crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start with a mediumly tingly finish with a strong roasted malt aftertaste. The yummy flavor contained notes of semi-sweet roasted malt mildly vinous burnt malt brown malt breads and hops. A wonderful best in class brew.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
On tap at Beercraft. It pours super dark brown with a mocha colored head. The aroma is decadent with fudge, smores, caramel and roasted malt. Hints of smoke. The flavor is the same. Delicious and rich with fudge, fig jam, smores, smoke and solid roasted malt. I didnt pick up much barrel influence. So tasty and dessert like with almost no alcohol burn. Yum.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
On tap @ Csakajósör - Pours black with a nice, creamy tan head. Amazing complexity of aromas: caramel, roasted coffee, chocolate and some dried fruits with a hint of vanilla and oak. Mostly sweet taste, hop bitterness stays in background. Bitterness is rather derived from roasted malts. Average carbonation, creamy, big-ass body with a little decent boozy aftertaste. The high alcohol hides very smoothly. Overall its a creamy, sweet chocolate fudge-like imperial stout. A serious one, very nice, memorable experience.

It grows thicker and sweeter through the palate, adding only a dash of hop bittering near the end. Huge brew, thick and sticky.
