3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Borresteijn (3651) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - FEB 10, 2013
On tap at Beer Temple. Slightly hazy golden orange colour, white head. Aroma of strong spice, like cardamon (probably the bay leaves), light Brett funk, lime. Flavour is medium sweet, light peppery, strong spice, again very cardamon-like and a little like eucalyptus, light lime, light tart, spicy and light peppery finish. Light-bodied. A bit too spicy imo.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 rlgk (7470) - Skövde, SWEDEN - FEB 8, 2013
Draught at Mikkeller Bar. Somewhat hazy golden beer with a small offwhite head. Floral, herbal aroma, pepper, mint, spices, hay, woody, coriander, salty, fruity, some lavender, soapy, some citrus. Spicy flavor, floral, mint, hay, pepper, raisins, herbal, soapy, some woody notes. Strange and not really to my liking...
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 after4ever (5292) - Brier, Washington, USA - FEB 4, 2013
Draft at Mikkeller. Pours a hazy light amber with a loose white head that sticks around. Tart and tangy nose, somewhat grassy, showing a bit of bright lemony acidity. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Pepperiness on the mid-palate, but in a sweet way, and taking a backseat to the lemoniness and grassiness and gentle vinegary beginnings of brett funk. Tangy sweet finish.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Jur (146) - NETHERLANDS - FEB 4, 2013
Clear golden yellow brew, with bright white head.
Nose is slightly fruity (pear drops?) with acidity.
Tast is fairly malty, with some fruit, but the Saison takes over quickly.
Dry finish. A bit like a ginger ale/lager mix...
Not sessionable, but okay after a big dinner.
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 JanLaursen (2160) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JAN 31, 2013
Draught at Mikkeller. Almost clear golden with a small white head. Brett, very distinct bay leaves and the faint notes of pepper makes about a very peculiar aroma - for a beer, anyway - that resembles a pickle. Light sweet, quite malty flavor, low bitterness, some citrus. Interesting stuff, yes, but not something that I would drink very often, if ever again. Flavor is a little dull, to be honest.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 thewolf (9885) - Kolding, DENMARK - JAN 28, 2013
Tap @ Mikkeller Bar, Cph.
Pours hazy orange-yellow with a small, staying, frothy, white head. Aroma has white pepper, sweet nuttiness, light funky brett. Quite a bit of lemon grass. Medium to high carbonation, fine dryish and light mouthfeel. Flavour is nicely peppery, sharp, still quite a bit of lemon grass, tea, citrus, soft bretty dryness. Mild bitter and quite dry finish.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 savnac (2064) - Anchorage, Alaska, USA - NOV 15, 2012
Draft @ CB. Golden color with a small white head. Aroma is lots of bay leaf and peppercorn, zesty citrus and very light barnyard. Flavor is very spicy with more of a saison taste and no real sour or tartness. Medium to light body with active carbonation. This one is very spicy with lots of bay, not really my thing but interesting.
