This was probably the least interesting beer in the flight. Even so it was passable. Not even the best brewery can hit it out of the park every time. I’ll let this slide given the fact almost everything else has been above average.
Aroma / Appearance - A semi-transparent ruby red base absorbs lots of light. A latent head grows only after some agitation. Hay and lemons warm the air but the main aspect is like walking through a muddy apple orchard just before harvest. It is oddly thin.
Flavor / Palate - Robust and chewy the bite is better than the bark. Straw, mud, and musky books lighten the palate. This is a fair release though if it is intending to be representative of the average biere de garde it does not quite get there.

Draft to taster at AtG. Looks solid; a transparent copper with thin white lacing. Smells and tastes like vegetables and chicken broth with an average mouthfeel. Not my thing.

Tap at brewery. Biscuit malt, bread stuffing - poultry seasoning aroma. Clear copper with a moderate off-white head, thick creamy lacing. Bready malt, poultry seasoning - sage, thyme - a lot like bread stuffing. Medium creamy body. Sound absolutely bizarre, but yet again, these guys find a way to make bizarre taste fantastic.

Draft. Bready malt aroma with strong herbal aroma. (like a Thanksgiving stuffing). Golden yellow with small head. Sweet barley initially followed by sage, thyme, and vegetable (nice, not an off flavor) flavor. Really have to give it to AtG - reading the description, I really didn’t expect them to be able to pull this off, but somehow, they not only made a tolerable beer but one that was quite enjoyable. Incredible daring in making unique beers.

On tap in a sampler. Pours amber/copper. Aroma and Flavor like spices and herbs plus caramel malts and floral hops. Average texture. A little weird but not bad.

Aroma of chicken broth, bread and butterscotch. Appearance is copper with white head. Flavor matches the nose, but with a light herbal hop finish. Palate is creamy. Bizarre, but not bad really.
