COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Against the Grain’s answer to light beers. This session style IPA is all about the hops, but not about the bitterness. We started with the malt base of pale ale, Vienna and wheat, then American hops were employed only late in the boil and post fermentation. The result is a pleasant hop aroma and flavor without the drying bitterness and alcohol.

Sample at C4 Pale Ale Festival 2012. Pours a hazy and golden beer with a weak white head. The aroma is malt and hops with peach and some flowers. The flavor follows the nose with additional grapefruit. The palate is bitterness. Overall a good beer.

Christian (8548) - Odense, DENMARK - MAY 3, 2012
Christian Firtal Pale Ale Festival 2012 - Day One. Hazy golden with a lasting white head. Faint malty aroma with herbal and citrus hops. Sweetish malty flavour with a touch of diacetyl, grassy malt and solid bitterness. Just a little too bitter for the weak body.

When I ordered this, no one in the restaurant knew the style of the beer, only the name and that it was a "session" ale. I rated this just about as blindly as I could. "draft. tastes like a pilsner with light hops and light bitterness. Clear watered-down caramel in color with light white head, a tad roasty/toasty. fairly weak."

Tap. Citrus peel and nice orange malt aroma. Golden yellow color with moderate head. Sweet strong barley malt (wort) flavor with moderately bitter orange peel hops flavor. Love the malt in this.

Aroma of butterscotch, floral hops and a little caramel. Appearance is gold with light white head. Flavor is mostly floral with a little caramel and toast, the finish is slightly bitter. Palate is lightly bubbly and creamy. Solid, a good "small" beer.

Draught at brew pub. Serious session beer. Light malt and body with lots of flavor. Serious bitterness. Enjoyable.
