3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
A very good peaty smoked beer. Their is something else in the flavour except for the regular peat which make it complex and interesting. A good beer!

Tap sample. Poured hazy dark brown color with an average frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting with excellent lacing. Moderate smoke malt and wet wood aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet smoke flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. My expectation where met.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
250ml, draught at Amundsen Bryggeri & Spiseri. Crystal clear red-amber body. Patchy surface, fragile lacing. Smoked nose joined with oak vanilla. Peaty malt flavours mingled with dark fruits and herbal hops. Mid-dry, malt bitter ending. Dangerously easy to drink. Like it (Oslo, 03.09.2013).

On tap at Amundsen
Copper clear, beige head. Smells of smoke, islay whisky, tar, oak, sea, salt, harbour and toffee. Moderate sweet, taste is same as aroma, quite whisky like, nice smoke. Medium bitter, nice resins. Wow, i din’t see this coming when order this. A beer that tastes like Islay whisky, and it’s very good as well. Cool that this was exactly what they wanted to achieve. I’m amazed

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap at the Wildeman, Amsterdam. Poured a cloudy deep amber with a bubbly white head. The aroma is creamy with toffee and caramel. The flavour is rich medium bitter with lots of peat, oak, smoke and alcohol on the surprisingly smooth creamy palate. A weak bitterness lingers for a while in the finish. This really is a super beer. It’s amazing that a single beer can have so many strong and very different flavours.
