3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at Ridgewood (Raleigh).
Amber with an ever-do-slight reddish tint. Malt and hop aroma. Taste is a big complex - better than your average pilsner.

UPDATED: FEB 20, 2014 Kentucky Fried Charleston Trip Beer #28. Draft at County Club. Pours a slightly hazy red-orange color with a large foamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of big citrus notes, pale malt, mild breadiness, faint herbal hops. The taste is citrus, pith, pale malts, hoppy finish. Medium bodied, fairly bright, slight lingering bitterness, good balance.

Very interesting. Bitter hoppiness right up front and throughout. Slightly sweet but has a really strange mouthfeel, light and sharp. I'm pretty much indecided about this one.

Swing-top half growler from Party Source, filled about 4 hours ago. Labeled as a "blood orange pilsener". Clear orange copper color. Good thin white head. Nice spread of dotty lace. Smooth, very light carbonation. Lightly dry texture. Very easy drinking. Nice mild tart taste, pretty refreshing. I dig the blood orange flavor, kind of some tart raspberry notes to it. Tasty, drinkable, refreshing stuff.

Fra fat pĺ Craft Beer Co, Brixton 4 Nov 12. Mřrk gylden. Litt uklar. Litt skum som fester seg til glasset. Litt tung plommearoma. Smaken som aromaen. Bra - men litt kjedelig.

Half-pint served chilled from keg at Craft Beer Co in Brixton, shared with Finn. Apricot coloured body, near-clear. Fragile layer at the surface. Fresh and dried fruity hops to the nose. Fresh apricot fruity taste added by red oranges and by mid-sweet malts beneath. Long-lived bitter finish. Medium bodied. Good last drink at the place (Greater London, 04.11.2012).

Tap @ Fairbar: Very hoppy with balanced fruit beer. Tastes like there used English hops. Where is the taste of the blood orange?

On tap at Craft Beer Co. Okay, this one was such a bright, delicious surprise. Blood oranges in a dry, zesty, hoppy beer = YUM. Healthy, vibrant orange body with a medium prickly head. Nose was righteous hops and fruit, and there was a bit of malt sweetness to balance things out in the taste. Oranges weren’t over-assertive, thankfully, and complemented a nicely realized hoppy base quite well.
