2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
On tap @ Beer Temple. As most of the beers in this place this one has a huge good looking head, dark beige or light brown in color and the beer itself is deep deep dark brown. It has a really dry roasted almost light burned nose. Nothing that screams sweet stout over this. But it’s definitely sweet in the taste! Almost what can be called cloying. Sweet baby chocolate milk, lots of roastiness mixed in between here. It’s nice and gliding in the mouth, kinda chewy also but it’s way to sweet for me today. Lots of lingering dry coffee and sweet chocolate milk lingering in the aftertaste. Half a sampler would normally been enough, bur I’m quite thirsty right about now so all of it went away. 07.03.2014

On tap at Liquor Barn, just called Against the Grain Milk Stout, 6.5% abv. Lost the paper rate, based on recollection. Pours black, taste was roasted malt. I expected it to be sweeter, it was a touch dry, but was pretty good.
