3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
draft during lcbw at the bo and luke release. poured a dark brown almost back with tan/mocha head that dissipates quickly. nice aroma of roasted malts, chocolate and the sweetness of the port barrel. the flavor is very good with the flavor of the roasted malts and chocolate blended together and fused with the port wine. gives it an almost sweetness that you normally don’t find in an imperial stout. the smoke throughout is very mild in aroma and flavor.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2013. A blurry light bronze colored one who a small islandy and sidesticking beige top. Light caramel sweet on the nose, concentrated fruits, the frozen kind, some pinework and traces of both gunpowder and red fruits. Enjoyable! It’s above average on the carbonation, a bit like chugging soda or sparkling water with a mild oily mouthfeel. I really like the taste in this. Caramel with lots of red berries. A little dry wood touch also. Hints of alcohol in the sweet aftertaste. A really nice one! 04.05.2013
