COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An India Pale Ale featuring Nelson Sauvin hops. Named after the Sauvignon Blanc grape, is a variety of hop developed and grown in New Zealand. It has a strong fruity flavor and aroma that is described as resembling white wine, or fresh crushed grapes or gooseberries. Some reviewers of this hop perceive the fruitiness as being very tropical with descriptions including passion fruit, tangerines, and grapefruit.

Look - Murky, much sediment. Looks like pulpy orange juice. Medium, white head with aggressive pour. Lacing for days. Smell - Grapefruit. Pine. Resin. Tropical and dank. Taste - It is lighter than I was hoping after smell, look, and ABV. Orange. Grapefruit. Pine. Bitter. Feel - Light to medium. Carbonation heavy but not a bomb. Sticks to the tongue. Overall - This is not an overly citrus IPA. Good stuff. Not something I will write home about, but something I will drink again.

On tap at PIB 2015, pours a hazy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out tangy hops, some herbal notes and biscuity malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with tangy citrus hops, a little pine and dry biscuity malt. Well-balanced and refreshing. Very nice IPA.

I enjoyed this, its dark yellow, the nose is kind of funky with a dankish fruit almost belgiany but not with some specific malt character that is not average, bit of tropical bubblegumy floral. Interesting not boring. Taste rips malt and hops on the palate with floral and citrus and lots of rind on the end. Good body, full hop flavor, like the character of this beer in nature of hops and malt, its kind of wheaty. heavy on the grapefruit. I get the description of flavors as described. funny label.

On tap at Basement Beer Bar. It pours an almost clear body, golden on color and with a dense, finger thick off-white head. It’s peachy and sweetish on the nose, with resins and grass. Soft and pleasant bitterness in the mouth, it’s quite dry, and with a pleasant carbonation. Peaches, orange peel and some pale malts in the flavor. Lasting finish. I’d prefer a more pronounced flavor, but overall it’s sure a fine brew. 150515
