Smooth, crisp, and refreshing, this German style pilsner is a great offering for a thirsty ballgame crowd. A judicious amount of light pilsner malt, a cold lagering process, and appropriate additions of the German noble hop, Tettnanger, make this one of the most approachable beers we have ever made. This beer is flavorful without taking any particular flavor over the top, and is made to be consumed by initiates and veteran drinkers alike. Enjoy a few.

Draft at the brewpub. Slightly hazy, but firm and golden. Nice solid pillowtop. This is a sturdy, biscuit-laden pils with a tight but creamy exterior and interior, and a grassy-hoppy finish. Good schtuff. (#5877, 12/3/2014)

Taster on tap at Twenty Tap. Labeled "Show Me Your Tetts". Medium-plus body. Smooth, lighter carbonation. Lightly slick. Half hazy pale golden color. Thin ring of white head, not much lace sticks. Moderate sweet taste, light to moderate bitter. Good light spicy pepperiness to it. Bready malt, good bit of pepperiness, hint of citrus. Awesome, flavorful, complex, easy drinking pils. Had no problem finishing my taster.

Draft in a sampler at the brewpub. Pours a cloudy, pale gold color with a small white head. Aroma of straw, grass, pale malts, lemon, mild spice, crackers, and herbs. Distinctly German in nature. The flavor matches the aroma. Light-bodied, with low to moderate carbonation and a smooth, refreshing mouthfeel. Very nice pils.

Sample number two was a fine light sessionable pils. Once again it is great to see AtG going for more accessible styles. Nailing this one shows they are better at more than just 7%+ hop (and / or) malt bombs.

Aroma / Appearance - The golden bubbly base and minimal head provide the perfect place for the bouquet of mildly sour hops, caramel, and ripe lemons. Noble hops hold it together like the spine of a book.

Flavor / Palate - Citrus glazed over a rich piece of cheesecake softens the palate. Lemon rinds and dry pie crust finish a mild mannered but balanced profile. Without a doubt this is a beer I would recommend not just to tickers but to anyone who wants to know what is out there besides BMC.

Draft. Poured a clear golden color with an average frothy white head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate floral hop and soft malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Soft drinkable brew.

UPDATED: MAY 10, 2013 On tap at the Irish Rover. Aroma of crackery, toasty malts with some moderate lemony, noble hops. Appearance is gold with white head. Flavor matches the nose with slight toast, and a more intense (but by no means overwhelming) noble character. Palate is light, creamy and average. Good Pils.

Clear yellow orange with white head. Aroma musty malt. Taste is a little funk with nice bitter balance. Bitter after taste goes a little to long.
