COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The brown ale to end all brown ales. Enjoy it, because there is no longer any reason to drink another. You’ve reached the pinnacle. A healthy blend of traditional British malts give this popular style a semi-sweet, biscuity, slightly roasted flavor. Oats thicken the mouthfeel, and a handful of specialty malts add complex chocolate, toffee, and caramel notes. The hops are mostly traditional, earthy British hops, but we cocked it up a bit with some Cascade late in the boil just to show those snooty Brits that we don’t approve of that Constitutional Monarchy crap.

This label concept is just bad. Seems like all marketing, and I find it repulsive on its own terms. Smells like a mild coffee porter. Very light color, even for a brown ale. A little more redeeming in the flavor where there’s some better chocolate and coffee flavors. (at 2015 Summer Beer Dabbler, St. Paul, MN)

Aroma is malts, toffee, very nutty/walnuts and a hint of coffee. The flavor is toffee, malts, coffee, nutty and a mildly sweet finish.

Sampled on tap at Black Bottle Brewery. Clear, lighter brown appearance with a bubbly white ring of foam. Aroma of earth, chocolate, roast and dark nutty malts. Similar flavor, adding a mild earthy hop bitterness and a light grain sweetness. Medium body with a smooth, creamy feel and a rich finish. Nice brown ale overall.

This is 1 damn good brown! Tantalizing super dark brown pour w/ a tan head & lots of lacing. The aroma is dark chocolate malt. The taste is of light roast & malt. It has a really nice mouthfeel. My only knock is that it ends kind of abruptly. There’s good flavor until the finish but nevertheless this is still a very good beer!

Big roasted nutty aromas. Thin carmel brown color with no head. A good nutty brown that is impossible to look at the bottle and drink. It’s a great beer but the graphics make it hard to enjoy as much as you should.

650ml bottle purchased on discount. Hilarious marketing. Not the greatest beer though, more of an amber ale, light thin body, a beer that would be more suited for 6 packs.

Chestnut brown, creamy caramel head. Complex malty nose with several grains merging into a rich bouquet--brown malt, darker crystals, adn more. Very smooth. The body is decidedly nuttier than the bouquet, and has a dustiness to it. Medium to light-bodied.

Can. Brown pout with tan head. Sweet brown, roasted and nutty malt aromas. Sweet nutty and roasted malt flavors, finishes dry.

Hazy brown with reddish hues. Light smokey Nose with toasted grain, brown sugar, and faint chocolate roast. Flavor is clean, sweet toasty malt, with some faint roasted malt and a touch of salty smoke.
