COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Starting with a solid, but not unusual, red ale, we threw in some acidulated malt to tang it up a bit. We then took the tang way over the edge by adding a lactobacillus starter that began metabolizing the sugars to leave lactic acid and other pleasant, tart compounds. We then added just enough hops to balance the remaining sugars, boiled the brew to kill the bacterial inoculation, and fermented with ale yeast. Post-fermentation we added French oak spirals for aging. The result is a tangy, spicy, tannic, malty deliciousness that will make you very happy.

Draft at Maria’s. Pours a deep coppery red with an offwhite head. Nose is tart. Yogurt, cherries, raw lacto, grain and funk. Sour mash and caramel as well. On tasting, a bit less aggressive. Light vinegar and lactic acid, sweeter and fuller bodied. A bit of an odd ball and sloppy, imo. Could use some refinement. Oak and vanilla on finish.

Tap @ Henriks. Small film of white foam on a deep orange / light brown body. Fruity cherries on the nose with hints of wood, caramel and a slight tartness. Taste is moderate sour with cherries and light malts. Fairly slick on the palate with close to high levels of co2. Very nice all together.

Red pour. Light aroma. Weird flavor, just random shit. Cream soda, apple cider vinegar, tropical fruit, Graham cracker, spice.

[10/10/13] Draught at Beer Temple in Amsterdam. Hazy reddish amber. Sourish aroma of cherries, plums, oak, some lacto, malt, a bit of caramel and some grainy hints. Sourish flavor with oak, dark fruits, some caramelly sweetness and some lactic acid. Medium-bodied. Decent.

On tap at Beer Temple. Pours a clear reddish amber with a near white head that dissipates to the edges slowly. Aroma has a light sour fruit note with a hint of sweet fruits and a touch funk. Flavor has a light sour red fruit note throughout with a touch of red wine and a dry finish.

Poured medium amber with a dense off white head. Aroma of honey sweetness, caramel malt, dark fruit, some Belgian spice. Medium body, flavour of sour sweetness, sweet berries over a malty base. Bitter sweet finish.

Murky amber/red body, no head and tiniest carbonation. Shy farm fresh nose, damp fruits. Sultry initial taste, oily and lightly carbonated. Suitably sour with a rigid malt table. Flouff of a bittered tang but a soft waft on the finish. Dry won by linger aided by well spoken carbonation.

Keg, Port Street

Lite som en tunn läskande Rodenbach. (Sätter alltid Rodenbach som referensöl för den här stilen.) Tunn och läskande med låg syra och mycket låg kolsyra

Draft. A hazy amber beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and lemons. The flavor is sweet with notes of brettanomyces, wet hay, and lemons, leading to a tart finish. A miss on my tastebuds.

Draught at Fermentoren, Copenhagen
Cloudy amber color with creamy head. Aroma of candies and rotten fruits, pear. Solid mouthfeel, the flavor is moderately sweet, there is some fruity touch, light vinegar, an impression of liquorice, light sourness and astringency.
A very chaotic beer, and rather pointless.
