Draft. Light amber body with an off-white head. Aroma of citrus, toasted grain, bread, melon. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/creamy texture, lively carbonation. Initial sweetness nicely balanced with grapefruit rind bitterness, citrus acidity. Clean malts. Enjoyable.

Tap sample at IBGWF 2013. Poured clear dark copper color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted and produced excellent lacing. Moderate toasted sweet malt and floral hop aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Moderate to heavy bittersweet flavor with medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. This is a solid beer that would go well with spicy food.

Draught at Lexington Beerworks. Hoppy lager that does not resemble a lager. Slight sweetness with tangerine and orange. Maybe apricot. Well balanced. Very good.

Draft to taster at AtG. Looks solid; a transparent amberish-copper with thin white lacing. Smells and tastes solid too; nicely hopped with a sweet, light backbone that goes down nicely. Good on the palate. Good beer.

Tap at brewery. Orange hops and caramel malt aroma. Clear copper with a small off-white head, nice lacing. Sweet orange hops, resinous pine, and caramel malt flavor with a light spicy finish. Really nice malt hop balance. Medium body.

Draft. Orange malt and pine/grapefruit peel hops aroma. Amber with small head. Lightly sweet orange-caramel malt and moderately bitter grapefruit peel/pine hops flavor. Very nice blending.

Aroma of strong lemon/herbal hops, moderate bready malts and some nuts. Appearance is copper/red with a sticky bone head. Hops are at the fore, with pumpernickel bread in tow; the finish is herbal and bitter. This beer is medium bodied and sticky with lively carbonation. Very well done.
