dm9831 (706), Monee, USA Aug 29, 2006 Updated: Mar 4, 2008 caramely (pencil shavings) cloudy brown, no head. smelled only of air. tastes like a well soaked cardbord box with a pleasingly bubbly finish which probably is the only saving grace for this beer.

Pours a clear brown orange with a small cream head that disappears fast. Aroma is quite creamy and sweet, but not much else. Flavour is sugary, woody and a little bready. Carbonated feel. Easy drinking but not the most enjoyable. beerfan22 (2), Togo does not count Dec 29, 2006 We were impressed with the deep-rooted natural beer flavour, and found it tasted best in a shaker.
Disappointed with the claim to be a Manitoba beer but brewed in Ontario. Any beer named Catfish definitely should be brewed in Manitoba (catfish capital of the world). Can’t fool a brew drinker...bring back Truth in Advertising! RAYBOY01 (1654), Chicago, Illinois, USA Oct 20, 2006 Generally uninspired beer. The pour looked attractive, golden and quickly fading head. The mouthfeel was very carbonated. Flavors of bread-like maltiness, weak tea, and touch of dishwater. I’m not sure what this was supposed to be! Cornfield (4409), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Aug 30, 2006 A bottle from the New Manitoba brewery: I’m not sure what a "British style cream ale" is, but what I drank had a deep golden body, highly carbonated, but with little of any head. The aroma was a very soft malt with a touch of tea and wet cardboard. Not much flavor, and the carbonation hid most of what was there. A nondescript malt, some tin, and tea. Clean finish.

From RAYBOY01’s cellar.
