Discretina eh, però la fa De Proef; il primo giro da Brewberry è andato così.

@ Brewberry, Paris. I’m not quite sure that this is100% Belgian Ale, as there are several strong IPA notes. Pours a light amber liquid with white head and mature, hoppy aroma. Taste is yeasty, medium sweet but at the back of your tongue you can feel the unique bitter, veggie, herb-like IPA-taste. Really nice experiment with the two styles.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 JEK69 (133) - FRANCE - MAY 20, 2012
Supposed to be a Belgian Ale?
It pours like a Pils, smells like an IPA and taste like a Lager.
No any link to the Belgian style.
Even the Brewer is from Scotland, and the Brewery is located in France. So yes, this is as "provoking" as expected.
Fair enough, not a bog deal; as long as the beer is good.
And this is good!
Something similar to 77 Lager made by Brewdog.
Cheers

courtesy of Laurent Mousson - hazy golden-orange beer with a little white foam left; aroma of peaches, oranges and cream; fresh hop impression; medium-bodied and pretty tasty; fairly bitter and with long hoppy fruity tones in the finish - dry, refreshing and deeply pleasant
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 Benzai (2684) - Oirschot, NETHERLANDS - MAR 20, 2012
33cl bottle shared Dutchdrebus. Hazy cloudy yellow to light orange color, small to medium white head that fairly quickly becomes a decent white lacing. Smell malts, hops, lightly yeasty. Taste malts, hops, bitter, but pretty watery. Doesn’t taste like 6,5%ABV. Medium carbo, low to medium body. Expected this to better.

Bottle @ home shared with benzai. Hazy, murky orange with a decent white head. Smells slightly hoppy, slightly bitter, spices, yeast and orange peel. Tastes slightly hoppy, slightly bitter, refreshing, bit sweet. Bit thin and watery. Okay carbo, thin to medium body.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 gEUS (232) - Linden, BELGIUM - MAR 18, 2012
33cl bottle - pours clear golden with a firm white head. Nose of peach, some banana with a clear malty coating. Malt flavour (nread and some yeast) is definitely coming back. Very gentle body all the way through with a slide bitter and dry finish. After 30 seconds, the malt is coming back again (as if one was eating fresh malt - e.g. with Moeder Lambic, they serve it with the beer...

A blond hoppy beer. Nose of citrus with a malty body and a long dry finish. Good stuff
3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 tderoeck (1583) - Gent, BELGIUM - JAN 9, 2012
27/12/2011 33cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker) @ home - BB: 15/9/2013 (2011-735)
Note: somehow I forgot to enter this rating, in 2011. Oh well.
Bit cloudy orange beer, small yellowish head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: lots of citrus fruits, some grapefruit, yeasty touches. MF: good carbon, medium to full body. Taste: citrus start, some pinapple, sour lemony touches, bitter hops, bit chemical. Aftertaste: bitter and dry, not a single trace of fruitiness any more, traces of band-aid, pretty faint. Aroma is very promising, but the flavour disappoints.
4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 Tim Webb (129) - Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - JAN 7, 2012
75cl bottle from the beer store in Cassel, where the brewery may end up some day. A dead ringer for Saison Dupont. Mixed hop aroma, big aromatic hopping, firmly tioned malt based - a delight to drink. of the best. A lesson in why to buy local, perhaps?
