No acidity, but really funky with sweaty dill and cooked seafood. Spritzy, complex and rustic, yet with elegance. Light salty finish. Really interesting stuff.

Bottle. Color dorado con una fina crema. Aroma a melocotón.Sabor ligeramente ácido de Brettanomyces y malta. Final ligeramente agrio.

bottle @ Chez Moeder Lambic Saint-Gilles, in thé cellar. Props to Jean Hummler for sharing this with us, a real treat. Pours light yellow to straw yellow, hazy. Aroma of (green) apple, a bit of barnyard funk, butter flower, crisp, fresh and slightly sour body. Taste is citrussy. Very refreshing. Very tasty beer!

UPDATED: MAR 23, 2013 Assaborida a Barcelona Beer Festival 2013. Mini-Pinta de 20cl. De color daurat amb petita corona blanca. Caramel pel que fa a l’aroma, vi blanc i sucre. En boca resulta més complex, afegint al vi blanc notes de poma verda, tot ben combinat amb la malta acaramelada. Finalitza amb cítrics i toc de bóta, cosa que aporta un matís més sec que encaixa bé. En general és sucosa però, es nota sobre els últims glops. El cos resulta cremós, la carbonatació és suau. Un brebatge curiós.

Draft at BBF 2013. Clear golden color, fluffy white head. Aroma of funky peach, lemon, grass. Taste is softly sour lemon, vanilla, bitter grass finish. Thin body. Interesting stuff.

Excel.lent. Cada any sorprenentment diferent pero totes magnifica. Tenim una gran sort x tenir-la a la vora i no calgui viatjar x veure-la.

Botella. De color dorado y espuma blanca poco densa, aroma acido y con trazas de vino blanco o champan. En boca es agradable no es acida tan como esperaba, es mas maltosa que otras sours, con un agradable final. No soy muy fan de este estilo, pero esta cerveza realmente me gusto. Muy buena

A golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is very fruity,also brett. The flavor is acidity and notes of brettanomyces, malt, straw, grapefruit, and some hops.A good beer

In short: A unusual funky tart fruity farmhouse pale ale. Fun beer
How: From a bottle at Hill Farmstead Farmhouse Saison Festival 2012
The look: Medium-cloudy amber body topped by a bubbly small white head
In long: Nose is on the dirty side of brett (musty, horse blanket, etc.) and some tart lemon-ish fruity notes. Taste is little sweet at first, funky, a bit tart, citrusy, a bit oaky, a dry finish. Funky and relatively tart/acidic but not really sour. Carbonation is rather smooth. I thought this beer tasted like the juice of fresh sweet McIntosh apples blended with a young lambic and some citrusy hops essence, if that makes any sense. One of the too many beers I had at this Saison festival, I now go to beer festivals with a suicide note in my front pocket so if I drink myself into an alcohol induced coma it will look intentional instead of just stupid.
