COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Cervesa tèrbola d’aroma estrident i cítric. Grans!

A Mes rate. Bottle from la Cervateca, drunk in our appartment in Barcelona.
Bloody hell, this is excellent. A beautiful dark orange gold colour with a excellent white head and attractive lace. Properly funky on the nose. Excellent base pale malt just about shows through and supports the almost resinous hops and wet barrel notes topped of with a surprising hit of freshly ground black pepper. The flavour is even better. The barrel fermentation is totally obvious. The wooden notes absolutely excellent. Feels very much like a white wine barrel. Delicate and elegant all round. Tart hit at the edges of the palate with the sour wood running alllll the way down the middle. Incredible lemon notes with some chewy leather underneath and again some pepper and spice. This really is superb. There are waves of flavour. A real vinegar tartness with hint of peach and an almost preserve jam or marmalade. Stunning clean and dry finish with an amazing lengthy bitter lemon aftertaste that makes a real assault to the sides of the palate. Complex yet balanced. Full of finesse. A classy brew for sure.

750ml bottle. Chalice glass. Enjoyed on dec´11. Pale golden in color. Brief head, white in color. Acid green apples & pears aromas with fresh grass notes. Slightly sweet malty upfront then gentle acid flavor with subtle tartiness. Light body full flavor. Soft carbonation. Grapes, cask-wood & lemon zest into the finish. Hints of grapefruit. Aftertaste carrries astringent lemon. Very well balanced flavors & aromas. Delicious.

Medium off-white, fast gone head over faintly hazy orange-foxy beer with a golden shine. Vinous, C-hops in the nose, with old wine casks and Brettanomyces. Lambic-like with a vinous, sherry-like quality from a good flor. Extra-dry finish, refreshing all the same. Dry-out effect. I want more of this! Amazing that the lambic doesn’t overwhelm the pale ale completely. MANY thanks to Jean Hummler for this bottle!

Hazy deep blond color. Interesting sour aroma, fruity, with Bretts and cobwebs. Good body strength, dry and milky malts, dry toffee flavor but also with a light residual sugar; and immediately the astringency and cellar character appear; it’s close to a Lambic, sweeter, fruitier, easier to drink; the yeast left a very nice fruity side; elegant and intriguing. Wonderful.

Hazy light amber color. Interesting aroma: sour, tarty, woody, lemony; Bretts; even very light hazelnuts in the end. Medium body, a ligh malt flavor is immediately taken over by the medium sourness and astringency. Maybe too dry at the end. Interesting effort.

Bottled, from Cervezorama, Madrid. Hazy golden, no head. Funky brett aroma. Mid dry with light-medium body. No acidity, but really funky with sweaty dill and cooked seafood. Spritzy, complex and rustic, yet with elegance. Light salty finish. Really interesting stuff.
