3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 pivo (2540) - GERMANY - JAN 22, 2005
Faint nose of malt and grains, clear brown-amber color, low creamy head. Medium body of caramelly malt with a dry toasted, woody end that interrupts the sweetness and creates a two-staged profile. A little rough around the edges, but in a good way. Nice surprise, this one, and a decent beer.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 jonas (5067) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - JAN 3, 2004
Metallic bitter harschly burned aroma.
Dark chestnut, creamy low head. Great balance between a
full fruity malt base, pleasant burned notes and flowery hop tastenotes - a nice surprise after the rather rough aroma.
Leathery aftertaste, full body
and mouthfeel with well-lagered prickling carbonation.
Exiting Dunkel.
