UPDATED: SEP 16, 2007 Bottled. Dark brown/reddish color, enough limpid and little fizzy. Creamy and dense foam, good duration. Decidedly bitter aroma with toasted malty and licorice notes. Dry and alcoholic taste; light bittersweet notes with decided bent to bitter, liqueur and blackened wood. Full body and caramelly nose final.

Faint nose of malt and grains, clear brown-amber color, low creamy head. Medium body of caramelly malt with a dry toasted, woody end that interrupts the sweetness and creates a two-staged profile. A little rough around the edges, but in a good way. Nice surprise, this one, and a decent beer.
