Caramel, malt and a touch of hops in the aroma. Hopbitter, caramelly, grassy flavor. Touch of milk chocolate. Complex and fresh tasting dunkel of remarkable quality. Thanks MoritzF, for this swing top bottle.

(swing top bottle) Clear copper colour with a big off-white foamy head, quickly diminishing. Sweet caramel-malty aroma with toffee and a touch of milk-coffee. Light-sweet flavour, toast-malty taste with caramel and liquorice, medium bodied, smooth carbonated. Medium-dry malty finish with a hop-bitter blend. Tasty and well-made Dunkel.

Swing-top bottle: clear, light amber coloured, medium-sized off-white head, lacing and slowly diminishing; caramelly, malty nose, weak traces of "toffee", some herbal hops also detectable; moderate sweetish-malty flavour with a faint bitterness; mild sweet-malty finish with a faint bitter aftertaste. Mild & pleasant, well made.............

Metallic bitter harschly burned aroma. Dark chestnut, creamy low head. Great balance between a full fruity malt base, pleasant burned notes and flowery hop tastenotes - a nice surprise after the rather rough aroma. Leathery aftertaste, full body and mouthfeel with well-lagered prickling carbonation. Exiting Dunkel.
