Growler from the brewery. Pours black with tan head. Chocolate and coffee aromas with some roasted malts. Bittersweet chocolate flavor with some roastiness and coffee. Slightly bitter. Medium to full body with moderate carbonation.

On sample tray. A dark brown almost black beer with tiny tan head. Used to be called Powder House Porter I was told by the staff. Now at 5.8%. Very nice roasty malt scent. Taste was malts and coffee and a hint of smoke. Will grab this again during our two weeks of winter.

Black with sticky lacing. Light nose of coffee and liqueur. Smooth, balanced palate with coffee flavors.
