Weissbier fans will love Kumulus, another Airbräu beer available all year round. Refreshing, lively and fruity, with the typical feel of a top-fermented beer and slightly reduced carbonation, this is a beer that goes down easily. Some who try it tell us that Kumulus puts them on Cloud Nine. They must be paying the flavor a compliment.
12.2 °P, unfiltered.

Cloudy tan with a big rocky head. Fruity, yeasty character with light spiciness. A sweeter example. It’s ok.

On tap at the brewpub in Germany. A cloudy golden form with nice white head. Banana and bubblegum aroma. Taste is Banana and yeast and a bit harsh for a Hefe. The freshness might have something to do with that. Palate is smooth with a slight sour ending. Very well made but lacking a bit for a superior score.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy orange with a white head. Aroma is classic wheat beer estery and mild banana fruity. Dry estery flavoured. Vague butterish note, I guess this it what happens if you get here for breakfast. Mild sweet and slight citric too. Ends smooth wheaty and fruity estery.

Draught (Munich Airport)
Cloudy orange, persistent bready head. Huge classic hefeweizen aroma - orange, a touch of butter. Carbonation pleasant, crisp palate. Retronasals wheaty and buttery in places. But it’s not an off butteriness - it’s delicious. Hops very restrained - only a hint in the finish. I’m a sucker for hefeweizens, and I liked this a lot, it was very fresh and tasty.

(draught) pours a murky dark golden colour with a frothy white head. strange aroma of wheat, tropical fruits, grassy hops and a whiff of skunk. flavour is wheat, banana and some light clove, no skunk here. medium, pleasantly sweet body with smooth carbonation.

Draught, München Airport T2, G, @ Kaefer Bistro. Around 17:30... but I was in the next day 00:30, Japanese time still. Good to have something else than Warsteiner Premium and saké after a 12 hour (though very pleasant) flight. Cloudy deep golden orange with a nice creamy big white head leaving a good lacing. Fruity sweet wheaty and yeasty pleasant aroma. Good filling mouthfeel. Fresh bit sweet wheaty fruity flavour with banana and a good soft bitterness. Well lasting fruity wheaty finish.

Dark golden color. Fruity aroma with some banana and citrus. Very sticky mouthfeel. Tastes similar as the aroma. Banana is now more in the background noticeble and in the aftertaste. A typical Weizen but for sure above average.

(7/5/08) Draught at the brewpub in Munich airport. Cloudy yellow-orange with a big white head. Wheaty fruity aroma with some bubblegum. Sweetish flavor with some wheaty fruitiness, acidic hints and light bitterness in the finish. Medium-bodied.

On tap at Brewpub 500 ml
Appearance: Amber orange-copper. Hazed with large snow cap and ornate lacing. 4+.
Nose: Strong traditional weizen aroma. Slightly drier than average sample. Citric, slightly tangy with sweeter caramel like centre. Aroma similarly to Flieger got rounder and fuller as it warmed up.
Flavor/Palate : Medium bodied wheat. Slightly strange with its ash like sweetness which presented not in bad way. Fairly soft as well lighter and not as complex as some. Kumuls was good , drinkable break while waiting few hours at airport. Great for relaxing …
