COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Airdale Altitude, is brewed as an American Strong Pale ale, has a lightly sweet, malty flavor, balanced by the aroma of hops. This beer also has an aggressive fruity-hop flavor on the finish as it is strengthened through dry hopping. It is light to medium in body and light amber in color. Pale Ales are one of the most popular of traditional British beer styles being produced by craft breweries in the United States. Airdale Altitude is a beer that is both satisfying to the experienced ale drinker and yet not too overpowering as to frighten off the newcomer.

Tasted at the San Diego International Beer Festival. Clear yellow with a creamy white head. Grapefruit and pine aroma and taste with a watery palate.

On tap at Porters Pub, UCSD. Pours a clear dark amber-gold with a small white head. Light sharp aroma, of malt and yeast. Sharp taste, of malt, hops, grass, and yeast. Lingering sharpness and a bit bitter. Decent.

(Draught, labeled Airdale Strong) Pours a clear golden body with a medium white head. Aroma of pineapple, orange, toasted bread, and light florals. Flavor of hops (floral, pine, orange, earthy) and caramel malt.

On-tap at PP C’Bad. Pours clearish orange amber with a medium sized white head, spider web lace. Smells subdued with some crisp, cereal malts and some faint earthy hops. Tastes cereal malty, pretty crisp and dry. WIth a slight backbone of green, earthy hops. Hops are slightly caramelly as well. Not bad, kind of plain. Medium body, crisp carbonation.

On tap at the Ballast Point Anniversay Beer Festival. Pours wiht a depp golden body topped by a medium thick head with a good amount of lacing. It’s bitter and hoppy with a slight skunk note and a light sweetness. Medium bodied, smooth and slightly dry.

On tap at PP Carlsbad location; it is now called Altitude. Aroma of yeast, orange and spice. Flavor was floral, biscuit and some light fruit/citrus undertones. Couldn’t even figure out the style with this one, but did guess it was a Pale Ale. Solid, if not spectacular.
