2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 bvc (1004) - Kenmore, USA - MAR 24, 2011
Draft at naked city. Pours a lightly chill hazed dirty orange tinted golden with loose off white head that leaves some spotty lacing. Hints of citrus hop resin on the nose, but a distracting hint of butter and dirty dishwater make it hard to get into. Medium light body with a somewhat flabby carbonation feel. Hints of crystal malt that doesn’t distract, light piney citrus resin...but the butterscotch is killing it. On top of that it just taste dirty and lacking.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Aubrey (3191) - Bellingham, Washington, USA - MAY 24, 2012
Decent hop bomb. Has lots of grass, flowers, grapefruit and rind. Rich, toasty malt backbone. Finish is sharp and bitter. Oily bitterness lingers on the tongue. Definitely a palate wrecker ... it’s course finish is slightly astringent. I didn’t mind much, though. I would order it again.
3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 ACHops (32) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAY 18, 2012
On tap @ Airways Brewery in Kent. Pours amber with thin head. Floral, piney aroma. Hops are fresh and lingering. Tastes like it’s dry-hopped. Kinda mild for an imperial, but hops and malt are balanced. I like this better than their standard IPA.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 BARLEYWINEO (106) - Tacoma, USA - APR 28, 2012
A: Poured a nice cloudy, deep orange color with good carbonation leaving a dirty white head and lots of lacing
S: Orange peel, grapefruit and caramel
T: Starts off with hop bite and ends the same way. Mainly citrus profile w. orange peel, grapefruit
M: Bitter, medium body, sordove thin on the back end
O: Not bad but with the amout of good IIPA’s on the market this is average. A good IPA, yes, an IIPA it is not
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 AmEricanbrew (4111) - roam, Louisiana, USA - JUL 15, 2011
Clear amber color/ ivory foam. Nice floral, fruity, pine hop aromas. Medium bodied. Well balanced, easy drinking flavors of pine sap, floral, woody hops with a solid pale malt, caramel base. Oh yeah, I’ve met a few of those sky hags over the years~~~
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 TheRealMGD (385) - Lakewood, Washington, USA - MAR 4, 2011
Tap @ Dog & Pony. Clear, light amber pour with a minimal white head leaving minimal lace. Balanced nose of hops and sweet malt. Medium-heavy body is similarly balanced with sweet, toasty malts and grassy, resinous hops. Finish is dry and bitter. This IIPA is outstanding (0.3-0.5 higher) on cask if you can find it.

Nose of toasted malts, caramel, and big Columbus hop notes. Really a nice hoppy aroma that is fresh and inviting. Pours well filtered amber with a lasting creamy head and lace. The flavor is full of Columbus hops floral danky notes with light citrus as well. Some residual sweetness, caramel, toasted roasted malts. Well balanced, nice and hoppy, and very drinkable.
