Draft at NCBC. Pours jet black with a loose and wispy tan head. Big ashy sooty chimney nose. Very black-patent-heavy. Creamy medium body, going a bit watery here and there. Undercarbed a bit. Super ashy mid palate, long dark finish. Appealing enough for a start but needs a lot more different flavor components to balance out the ash/patent bit.

black color/ tan head. earthy swamp water, dirt, dark roast malt aromas. medium bodied. flavor follows the smell with deep roast, black malt and dirt, swamp water--decent enough though

Black bodied with a sparse, airy head and little carbonation. Sooty, black patent nose segues into a roasty, robust porter flavor accented again by sooty notes and powdery black patent malt.
