Deep golden with medium white head. Sweet malty aroma with brewing cereal and caramel notes. Sweet fruity aroma with light malty and caramel notes. Ends sweet.

5.5% amber colour with a thin head, slight toffee aroma, taste was a bit like chocolate éclair sweets.

bottle from Village de la Bière Strasbourg. Amber-coloured, large offwhite head. Caramel, slightly fruity with a dusty bitterness in the finish.

bottle 33cl in Paris. A clear amber-copper ale with high carbonation and low head. Good malty caramel taste with a good hoppy charater, the finish is quite bitter. The sweetness is medium, not exceptional but pleasant beer.

Bottled. An amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel, while the flavor is sweet matly with notes of both spices and caramel.

I found this to be one of the best beers I have ever tasted.So much so that I am returning Saint John de Luz in Southern France to try it again.

(Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of yespr/Ambassador. Clear, amber golden with a creamy, off-white head. Lightly caramellish nose. Medium-bodied with lightly sweet caramel notes and some fruit. Subdued bitterness. 040408

Bottle. Clear amber coloured with a small white ehad. Aroma of malts, fruits and corn. Flavoru of fruits, corn, malts and hops. Boring.

33 cL bottle, thanks to Ambassador. Pours almost clear amber to orange with a lacing white head. Dry malty aroma. Flavour is dry malty and light spiced. Light fruity. Dry malty finish.

Lovely rich malt base supported by some hope bitterness. Enjoyed after a long walk in the hills and after a lovely lunch in Saint John de Luz.
