330ml bottle from Saveur-Biere

Pours dark brown with a small light brown head. Aroma of chocolate malts, artificial vanilla, cocoa and some roastiness. Taste is smooth, sweetish and slightly roasty with some dark chocolate and cocoa notes. Finish is smooth, slightly lactic and roasty with some dark chocolate notes. Feels a bit off.

Bottle. Dark brown, small to average and fully diminishing light brown head. Moderate, malty and sweetish aroma, light roasted malt and some coffee, light (milk) chocolate. Body is medium to full, malty and sweetish flavor, light roasted malt and coffee. Finish is average, malty - lightly oaty and lightly sweetish - sweetish, light roasted malt with light coffee and faint (milk) chocolate, faint alcohol. I do not get so much milk here. OK lightly roasted stout anyway - not overly too sweet (due to 8%).

Quack-Duck (7944) - Down South, GERMANY - JUL 12, 2014
bottle from saveur-biere.com. Deep brown, almost black colour, with an impressive beige head. Sweet chocolate nose. Full-bodied, malty-sweet start with aromatic chocolate - not artificial but really, really good dark chocolate. Hints of vanilla. Smooth carbonation, very pleasant and easy-drinking. The 8% abv is very, very well hidden. Delicious dark delight.

Bottle 33cl, a dark beer with medium head. Nose is intense on dark coffee and astringency, red fruits notes. Aroma is on dark coffee again, bit creamy, licorice, astringency, burnt caramel. Body is more on dark chocolate, biscuit touch.

Idiosynkrasie (3854) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - MAY 17, 2014
330ml bottle. Darkest brown colour with late awakening, average, thick, creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, beige head. Roasty dark malty aroma, notes of cocoa and milk chocolate, cocoa butter. Taste is roasty dark malty, subtle hints of cocoa, a touch of nougat; sadly with a slightly unpleasant bitter note of burnt rubber throughout. Not completely a felicitous fusion.

Bottle shared @ home. Color: dark black beer with no carbonation and small white foam. Smell: roasted malt, chocolate, moka and raisin. Taste: raster malt and black bread, really watery, fresh sensation on mouth. Aftertaste: raster malt, chocolate.

erickok (3634) - Tours (and Paris), FRANCE - APR 27, 2014
Black body and small head. Nice developed malt aroma, roasted, cacao, sweet yeast, balanced. Drinks easier than expected. Light bitter, some roast, little residual sugars. In fact it could use some brown sugar goodness. Not as thick as expected but that’s not bad at all as it drinks very well. And very happy to see this brewed! (33cl bottle from Saveur Bière)

330 ml bouteille. BB ??/2016. From saveur-biere.com.
Black colour with a small light tan head. Roasted malt, ashy dryness, dark chocolate and tobacco in the aroma. The flavour is roasted malt, ash, tobacco, very dark chocolate and mild bitterness. Very dry and dark.

lusikka (6267) - Tampere, FINLAND - APR 17, 2014
330 ml bottle. Pours a pitch black colour with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, cream and some herbal notes. Flavour of milk chocolate, roasted malts, bitterness, some fern and grains. Alcohol comes through. Medium bodied and a bit low carbonation. Finishes roasty and a bit thin. Alcohol comes through a bit too much.
