Braudog (3464), Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates May 23, 2006 Bottle: dark golden, almost amber and still, yet with the big airy head common to Aksarben. Big musty caramel aroma. The sweetness almost resonates as a sour flavor with just a whiff of caramel underneath. Can’t say I enjoyed this very much. Sledge Jr (2720), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Apr 18, 2006 In the bottle at the brewpub. Since this is the true style of most of the lager yeast beer made at the Ak, they have a lot of practice on this one. Dark gold with a big ivory head. The aroma is a little bit citrusy from the hops. Has a smooth palate and low carbonation. Flavor is a bit toasted caramel. Good level of malt and an interesting fruity finish. Not too bad.
