2/25/06 (bottled): Good looking festbier ... dark red and quite active with a big ol’ head. Sweettart aroma that was almost off-putting. Drank smooth, however, with only a little cloying tartiness over a sweet malt base.

Mar 20, 2007 Bottled. Poured ruby/amber with a dirty white lacing. Aroma was some of that classic octoberfest malt. Flavor was very light and dry. Was nothing like an octoberfest.

Feb 17, 2006 In the bottle. Pours amber in color with an off-white head. Much maltier than the Aksarben oktoberfest. Thick chewey palate. Nice balance of hops and sweet malt flavors. Closer to an old school festbier.
