| An Abbey Tripel formerly brewed by Aksarben Brewing Company Omaha, Nebraska USA
| |
Sledge Jr (2720), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Apr 18, 2006 On tap at the brewpub. Pours an amber color with an off-white medium-sized head. Aroma is that of oranges or coriander. Flavor is strong with honey sweetness. For an Ak beer, this has a thick palate. The finish consists of a mild bitterness. Great lacing is left behind. This is one Ak beer that I’d actually drink often, especially at their $1.50 a pint happy hour price! However, it really falls well short of anything you might expect to pass for a true Belgian Trippel.
