stoutlover72 (1320), NorCal, California, USA Feb 8, 2006 First aroma whiff and you get a blast of candy corn overwhelming you. Not a very strong start and it doesn’t get much better from there. Malty sweet, slight bitterness, soft mouthfeel. Overall a somewhat humdrum beer, neither really good nor really bad.
IrishBoy (2111), Bakersfield, California, USA Jun 9, 2008 .5L bottle from Hollingshead Deli; Nose of grain, light caramel, and a light tomatoey note; yellow with a medium white head; flavor has some pepperiness, light bitterness, and slight bready sweetness; finish is lightly bitter. OK but not really very good. jgb9348 (1817), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA May 27, 2008 Light golden coloured body with a thin white head. Aroma of bread, yeast, Vinifera grapes, sugar and some light malt. Light-bodied; Strong vinegar up front with some lighter grape tastes and a mild maltiness following. Yeast in the finish along with some bread touching up on the alcohol near the end. Overall, a decent beer - more of a helles to me, but an average beer. Nice for the summer in the heat. I sampled this 500 mL bottle purchased on 03-May-2008 from Chevy Chase Wine & Liquors in Washington, D.C. sampled on 26-May-2008. marcus (966), Sacramento, California, USA May 14, 2008 This blonde beer poured with a large white head and a sweet malt aroma. The flavor is creamy and refreshing, and is quite well-balanced. A decent session beer. bhensonb (2832), Woodland, California, USA Apr 8, 2008 Bottle. Aroma is something biscuit with a little yeast. Darkish gold color with a disappearing white head. Medium body with mild carbonation which turns creamy. Flavor is a bit caramel with floral/grassy hop. Seems to have a bit of snap in the finish - something that bites or tingles a little. Very fresh. Good. badlizard (1430), San Diego, California, USA Mar 27, 2008 from Holiday. Clear yelow with a fizzy head, wheat bread aroma, sweet vanilla malty taste.
