I did not care for this bottle at all. Tasted slightly dated, with a sour not quite vinous bitterness throughout. Maltiness is reminscent of wet hay, or perhaps hay with this particular bill spilled on it and then left to under a rain soaked tarp.

Jun 28, 2008 Sold as Spezialbier Edel, but the ABV is the same, so this must be the one. Bottle. Flowery, somewhat buttery aroma. Slight flowery hopbitter, malty buttery flavor. Medium bodied. Vinous and hay notes. Drinkable.

Jun 5, 2008 Spicy hop nose, with a bit of grassy hay notes. Very crisp, a bit astringent, but not overpowering. Cookie dough matliness, with a clean bitterness in the finish.

Feb 7, 2008 500ml bottle. Light golden yellow color, with a little cloudiness making it not completely transparent. Surprisingly crisp and bitter/spicy, with a doughy, mild finish. Very subtle malt and hop characteristics, a very unique German beer.

Jan 29, 2008 Bottle as Spezialbier Edel. Aroma of pale malt and noble hop; hint of spice. Gold color with a respectable white head. Medium body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is malty with grassy hop and a citrus note. Bitter builds lightly in the finish. Very pleasant drink. Ever so much better than Bud.
