dj (396), Gloucestershire, England Apr 18, 2008 On tap. A cloudy golden colour with a good head. Aroma of orange and wheat. Taste has plenty of fresh citrus, orange, lemon, wheat and yeast. A good hefeweizen. gnoff (2923), Göteborg, Sweden Aug 5, 2007 (Draught at restaurant "La Vita" in München) Shady yellow color, small white head. Weak acidic malty scent. Spritzy sweet some estery banana taste. Rather spritzy mouthfeel. Low bitterness. jpm30 (1588), East Central, Georgia, USA Apr 11, 2007 From a 500 ml. euro bottle with a freshness date on the back label, sampled at cellar temperature in a weizen glass.
Poured a cloudly yellowish golden orange with a foamy white head that slowly settled into a creamy lacing.
Aromas of lemon honey, banana and hints of clove, and a very light spiciness, a pretty simple, basic hefe weizen nose.
Good moderate carbonation and a malty crisp, smooth medium bodied mouthfeel. I had no problems with carbonation.
An basic, average tasting hefe weizen, lemon honey and grainy, soft banana and a subtle clove, a light amount of spiciness on the tongue, and a sour yeasty, sweet malty finish.
An average, basic German Hefe Weizen, not much to recommend it other than it’s smooth, easy drinkability.
pivnizub (4007), Porúří, Germany Mar 16, 2007 Flip-top bottle (traded with joss): Murky, deep golden coloured, quickly vanishing foamy layer; sourish-wheaty nose, moderate sweet-sour flavour, fizzy MF, light bodied; short wheaty-fruity (cloves) finish with a lingering acidity. A rather mediocre Weizen......... HenrikSoegaard (3289), Randers, Denmark May 5, 2006 Bottle. Creamy white excellent fully lasting head. Amber colour. Nice powerfull hoppy and yeasty aroma. Flavor ok, oily palate. Nice hefe, but not fantastic.
