Out of the bottle it foamed up quickly leaving four fingers of head on a cloudy, medium straw colored body. The smell is wet hay and rye. The taste is strong rye and bitterness. It is bold beginning to end. Low carbonation and medium body. Short finish. I like rye and I liked this beer.

Pours a cloudy amberish orange with a fair amount of white head that sticks up the glass. Aroma is sweet malts, mandarin orange, and a bit spicy. Flavour is spicy, fruity, resin, medium bitterness that lingers moderately into the after taste, definitely a rye presence and a dry finish. Well balanced and one of the better rye beers I’ve had.

Pours a murky orangish amber with a huge frothy white head. Aroma of spicy rye malts, sweet fruits and floral hops. Taste is spicy rye malt, passion fruit and has a nice dry finish with a good bitterness throughout. Excellent rye beer that has a perfect balance of rye to regular pale and a nice fruity floral hops to pair with it.

Bottle. Clear yellow pour with a very large white head and aggressive carbonation. Aroma is rye with a sour twinge and light malt sweetness. Taste is bitter and messy with burnt malt, light rye, some malt sweetness, and quite a bit of off flavor. Yuck.

650 ml bottle. Pours a cloudy gold with medium head. Aromas of dough, pine, and tropical fruit. Flavors of orange and melon, spruce, apples, and light malts. Not what I was expecting for a rye beer. Quite nice.

Pours a dirty, dark yellow with a thick, frothy white head. Aroma is grapefruit, some spice and grain. Hops dominate the palate - grapefruit rind, pine. Then a slight spiciness comes out with a hint of malt and finishes bitter. Not enough balance.

not a bad beer at all. it pours out a bright golden orange in the body was the whis of white atop. The nose is sweet and lightly hopped with a nice caramel maltiness. The first sip is a tasty rye crispness with floral and citrus hop fruits. Very tasty rye beer indeed¡

On tap at the brewery. Pours a cloudy yellow color with a nice white head. The color strikes me as "off". Smell is slightly of rye and not really hoppy. The taste is good and smooth. The taste is much better than the other aspects.
