Draft. A hazy dark golden beer with a lazing orangey head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel as well as a lighter note of citrusy hops. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of grass and grapefruit from the hops, leading to a dry bitter and grassy finish.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Hazy light amber color, with creamy head. The aroma is quite anonymous for an IPA. The body is quite strong, the mouthfeel is smooth, but the flavor is stale, some malt and old wet cereals; it has a strong bitterness level, but no real hop qualities.
Boring.

Bomber poured a clear tarnished gold with a small lasting white head. Aromas of biscuit, floral notes, light citrus and a hint of earthiness. Palate was light to medium bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, earthiness and light grapefruit with a crisp dry bitter lingering earthy finish.

murky red-tinted amber body with a quickly thinning and disappearing white head. strange burnt butter and oil nose. syrupy body; medium-high bitterness; dirty yeast phenols (black pepper and soil). saccharine sweetness throughout is the worst attribute. blah.

Bottle:   Amber, slight haze, moderate frothy white head, nice lacing.   Hoppy nose, slight citrus peel and pine resin.   Similar tongue, hoppy, well balanced.   This seems like a straight forward IPA.   Enough malt to carry the bitterness, clean, with hop bitterness that is smooth and lingers quite a while after the exit.     Moderate body and mouthfeel.   This one was better than I expected.   All I can say is solid example of a good IPA.

bottled, clear golden color with white foam head, didnt really detect much hops for an IPA, mostly a bitter cardboard flavor with some caramel notes
