pours a cloudy apple, cider looking, a bit of sediment, a thin white head, and some lacing. smell is faint, caramel, yeast, and some fruit. taste is of grain, apple, grape, some malt, berry, and a tad sour. ends thick yet refreshing.

Bottle:   Cross between dark caramel and dark straw, thin sudsy white head, little lacing.   Very faint nose of some sort of fruitiness.   Had the label not mentioned Huckleberry, I would have no clue.   Too light!   Muted berries on the tongue.   Otherwise pale straw and mealiness.   Very boring... hardly a Fruit Beer.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Snoozer of a finish.   At this point anything resembling a Fruit Beer has left the building.   Very very boring...

On draught at Alameda Brewhouse. Hazy dark apricot color. Aroma is malt and some yeast with sweet blueberries underlying. Taste is malt, some wheat, blueberries, subtle yeast, and hint of hops. Seems more like a golden ale than an IPA. Smooth finish with a hint of blueberry muffin.

An average golden. Pours an unfiltered yellow. Smells like honey and biscuits. Taste however is not very interesting. Had on tap at Oregon Brewers Festival. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Light berry, biscuit, bread, a little herbal hop notes. Pours golden orange, thin head. Flavors of soft sweet berry, biscuit and pale malt base, mild bitterness. Lingering biscuit and light berry. Not interesting. Sounded better on paper.

Light berry aroma. Draught. Cloudy orange, looks like a hefeweizen. Hop flavour with an attractive sweet berry note. IPA like hop finish.

Had the 2013 Golden Ale at Henry’s in Portland. I expected more fruit, but still a very sessionable ale. Light to medium body, some malts come through in the body. Finish is slightly sour berry. Overall worth drinking.

22oz bottle from "Lifesource" in Salem. $3.99. NOTE this is no longer an IPA but a Golden Ale and only 4.3% alc. Darker hazy golden almost amber ale with a small bubbly off white head. Nose mainly malty but with a faint berry sweetness. Smooth creamy, mellow taste with bitter sweet berry tones..appears real huckleberry taste if you ever had some in the Oregon woods. Palate is fine and rather good for the style. I liked this simple PNW style golden ale.

22. Pours a hazy flat medium amber. Light head, no lace. Nose can’t decide if it’s lightly fruity or lightly caramel, so it splits the difference. Flabby light body, soft carb. Caramel and soft tangy berry notes on the mid palate. Tastes almost synthetic. Mild finish.
