With an appealing amber color, this brew has a perfect balance of caramel malt and spicy hop flavors. The Munich malt in this recipe lends a rich mouth feel, while generous additions of Pacific-Northwest hops complete the balance. Try a pint of Pale with the Salmon Gyros, Falafel or Alameda Dip.

22. Pours a cloudy burnished dark amber with a very light and sudsy tan head. Scant drippy lace. Mild caramel and brown bread nose. Creamy medium body with soft carb. Caramel and a little bit of biscuit on the mid palate. Not really very much happening here, other than the cool name and label.

Bottle: Caramel in color, hazy, moderate fizzy off-white head, drops quickly, patchy lacing.   Sour musty nose, slight unripened pale fruit skin.   Seems more of a Gueuze than an American Pale Ale.   Tart on the tongue, mild sweetness, a little malty, without much of a hop bite.   Or at least its very subtle.   Feels a bit fizzy.   Average body and mouthfeel.   Tangy tart finish.   This is not an American Pale at all.   Regardless, its okay, but certainly not to style.   Thanks Bill!
