3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 BlackDonald (1127) - Boise, USA - JUN 5, 2008
Decent session pale ale. Definitely made in more of an English tradition, this is very malt forward, with the hops folowing ever so slightly in the background with some toffee flavors and a buttery herbal hop note in the finish. Exciting enough on the palate to not be boring, but not assertive enough to completely be a palate killer. Extremely drinkable.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a clear golden orange with a small white head. Aroma of very pleasant floral hops, some resin, and light pale crackery malts quite subdued. Flavour is characterized mostly by the floral hops, with some crackery malt to back - mild astringency on the finish. Very pleasant and refreshing.

22. Pours a cloudy burnished dark amber with a very light and sudsy tan head. Scant drippy lace. Mild caramel and brown bread nose. Creamy medium body with soft carb. Caramel and a little bit of biscuit on the mid palate. Not really very much happening here, other than the cool name and label.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Hophazard (193) - San Francisco, California, USA - FEB 14, 2011
Piney, citrus hops with a grassiness to it on the nose. Slightly hazy, dark golden color, bordering on copper. A nice shot of grass that finishes dry. Malt is hidden, playing a supporting role in the middle palate. A nice balance of body and carbonation. Good pale - enough flavor for the afficionados but still sessionable.
