Bottled 20DEC12 Rusty, ruddy brown with a fleeting light foam. Rim and central cap leftover. Smells of standard saison yeast (commercial and conventional) - clay, coriander, some hay and a little sweetness. Taste is cheep and theres basically no orange character here through the strength of the yeast. Medium on heavy body with moderate carb and dry, slightly astringent finish. Not impressive.

Yellow pour with a white head. The aroma has some orange yeast and biscuit malt notes. The flavor is full of tea and yeast notes with some biscuit malt and pepper. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

UPDATED: APR 6, 2013 Red wax-dipped bomber. Pours hazy copper with a long-sustaining off-white soapy head. Aroma is citrusy, SweeTarts. Taste is a little tart and finishes bitter. Belgian yeast, an earthiness, along with lots of orange in flavor. Mouthfeel is too foamy for me, body is medium to thin. Not too bad, but definitely not what I was hoping it would be. I have to admit, the horror movie lover in me was drawn to the label.

TheRealMGD (551) - Lakewood, Washington, USA - JAN 29, 2013
Bottle from WB. Hazy amber pour with a short white head fading to a rim and leaving minimal lace. Nose is malty sweet with a bit of funk and orange peel. Medium-light body and moderate, fine carbonation. Toffee, blood orange flesh and peel, some barnyard. Finish is medium and fairly bitter. Neither a good saison nor a good fruit beer.

On draught at Caps & Corks. Dark amber in color, with a distinct saison character. Blood orange is apparent but not over-powering.

Nose of orange peel, some orange fruit notes, a little yeast esters, pepper, a touch of hay. Pours orange amber, white head and lace. Flavors of blood orange up front, a little peel, hay, pepper, and light yeast esters. Nice carbonation, almost quenching. Good use of citrus, natural, solid fruit beer.
