3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aromas of coffee, lemon, alcohol. Flavors of sulfur, roast malt, brown sugar, oak. A little drying on the tongue. Generous dark khaki head on impenetrable dark brown.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Poured from a 22 ounce bomber. This beer opened with a loud pop and poured with large amounts of head. This beer is off, firm sourness, plastic, rubber notes. Some notes of cherries and wood, the tannins where out of balance. The only thing that I felt was brown ale about this was a nice chocolaty character.

Bottle:   Does seem like a big brown.   Soft barrel aging, cant say its Whiskey, Bourbon, and Rum.   A bit woody, a touch tart, a little woodsy.   Starts out tart, becomes a bit sour.   Really needs to be sweet.   Malty, bready, but that sourness on the backside isn’t all that welcome for a big barrel aged beer.   Perhaps something in the barrels that wasn’t meant to be.   Meh... woody sourness with a bit of some bit bready maltiness.   Some funk happened that I don’t think was intended, which is too bad.
