3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 bhensonb (8954) - Woodland, California, USA - MAY 12, 2013
Bomber from Made in Oregon. Pours dark ruddy amber with a foamy beige head. Aroma is resin over roast malt. Med body or better. Flavor is lightly nutty roast malt, but there’s a lot of hop - mostly resin? - or is it spicy/herby?- anyway it drinks a s--- load better than the vast majority of ambers. Thankfully this amber is far from a drain pour. It’s even pleasant to the nose when the glass is raised each quaff. Good beer. Finishes with lots of hop bitter.
