A Pacific NW style red ale brewed with the highest quality Crystal malts and copious amounts of Nugget hops. The Rose City Red will win you over with its red tinted color, amazing aroma and complex flavor. A perfect brew for contemplating the return of the roses.

A good Red Ale / Amber Ale. It was refreshing to sample after drinking an IPA and a Imperial IPA back to back just before. Sampled at The Bier Stein, Eugene.

Pours dark amber with a thick foamy head the slowly fades into crazy peaked mountains. Aroma of caramel, leather and fruit. Taste starts sweet and malty, turning bitter and a little roasty.

Bottle, shared with Parksy. Dark copper amber, hazy, with an average golden head. Earthy caramel with light floral undertones. Not a bad amber.

Bottle shared in London - many thanks to Fergus! Pours unclear amber with a frothy, off-white head. The nose holds some juicy citrus fruits, orange, grains. Medium sweet flavor, a little grainy, with rindy citrus, earth. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with toasted grains, earth, orange rind, mellow tobacco. Fine.

Appearance: slightly hazy amber-brown with one finger of creamy tan head, OK retention and moderate patchy lacing. (3/5) Aroma: caramel malt, nutty, light earth, pine, and citrus. (5/10) Taste: mild to moderate sweet, moderate bitter. (5/10) Palate: medium body, moderate carbonation, bitter and slightly boozy warming finish. (3/5) Meh. Not really my favourite style at the best of times, and through nobody’s fault but my own (I’ve got to get better at checking bottle dates in the store!) this thing is about a year and a half old. Still a fair bit of hops in the flavour, though, giving a fairly bitter finish, but they’ve faded somewhat from the aroma. Might’ve been a bit nicer fresh, but I doubt I would’ve loved it even then. (11/20)
