3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma of citrus, grass, some grapefruit, fresh hops. Flavour is light sweet with a nicely long bitter finish. Not the thickest or most full bodied DIPA on the block. Nice and refreshing though.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus. Hazy slightly pale orange color, medium to full sized creamy off-white head that lasts for a decent while and leaves fair to good lacing. Aroma is malts, hops, oranges and lightly mandarin. Taste malts, hops, tangerine, orange, bitter, some fruitpeel bitter, a hint of orangepeel especially in the aftertaste. Medium to full body, firm fizzy carbonation. Not bad at all, but the fizzy carbonation and the fruitpeel / orangepeel bitterness annoy me.

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
22 oz bottle from Albertsonís in Hillsboro, OR. Pours with a short-lived, rocky head and minimal lacing. Aroma is grassy and piney, with hints of hay and leaves. Mouthfeel and taste is crisp, sweet, and bitter from the start through to a long finish and aftertaste. The beer feels a bit thin, but it masks the alcohol incredibly well. Pretty fantastic!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottled 9/11/14 consumed 10/7/14.
Pouring a mildly hazy light orange with a dense, white head with good retention and lacing, this looks great. The nose is solid. Bright, pithy, zesty grapefruit with a mild grassy note. Bitterness is quite pronounced. Lemon oil, a little pine, a mild honey note are all present. Malt character is minimal. The palate opens other a bog, whopping bitterness, pungent, resiny, grassy and with a blend of grapefruit, orange, citrons and lemon verbena. Oily on the mid palate with mild flavors of honey, white bread and tutti fruitti. Light in body with a long lasting bitter finish with plenty of grapefruit and pine, this beer is moderately carbonated and quite excellent on the palate. Apart from the grassy notes, this is an excellent beer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours hazy pale gold with a fat finger of loose off-white head diminishing rapidly to a thick cap, moderate lacing. Nose is moderately intense citrus, piney, and herbal hops balanced with pale malt. Taste starts moderately sweet, giving way to moderately intense bitter. Medium body with low sustained carbonation and a long dry bitter finish.
Iím not sure if I entirely like Columbus hops in a DIPA. For me, the herbal aspect reduces the overall impact of the hops and makes this feel like itís not quite the 103 IBU hop bomb it might otherwise be. It sort of leaves the door open for the malt to have a greater presence on the nose and the tongue, edging into the malty DIPA territory I donít prefer. I donít dislike this beer, and itís quite drinkable, but a better hop blend might make it more memorable.
