Hazy golden beer with a thin off white head. Big hop resin nose. Thick hop resin taste with lots of grapefruit citrus. Okay IIPA.

18/10/2012 Bir&Fud Bottega (500ml bottle). Ambrata, limpida, bellissima schiuma bianco sporca, molto compatta e persistente. Al naso è esplosiva, freschissima, agrumata ed erbacea, con note di malto ben percettibili. In bocca è molto amara, ma comunque bilanciata con il malto, sebbene non caramellata stucchevole, finale molto lungo, intenso. Corpo medio, carbonazione corretta. Una gran bella birra!

Bottle. BIg strong head on dark orangey beer. strong woody spice hop nose and a bit of alcohol promises a fight across the palate but will there be joy? Dirty yeasty peppery hop beer wants to be a Saison not an IPA or IIPA. Like a $20 hooker in a back alley. FU long time Charlie. Finish does not taste like you need to finish it. Not sure I have had an IPA or IIPA that needed to settle before a careful pouring.

Bottle, shared with Parksy and Grippitis. The body is more golden than amber, hazy, with a thick lasting white head. Aroma quite hoppy, grapefruit, grass, a bit of pine. Malts are a bit chewy, hops are a bit astringent, grapefruit and green grass flavours. Very bitter. This lacked something that was hard to pin down, and it didn’t quite come together for me. I’m still having trouble letting go of the Stone 16th Anniversary IIPA I had a couple of days ago.

The aroma is sweet and fruity - cane sugar, tangerine, mango. Medium bodied. Sweet and fruity upfront with some citrus in the back ground and then finishes nicely bitter. I liked it.

Bomber. Great aroma: very floral, with cookies and apple pie. Hazy yellow-orange, small head. Good balanced initial with some seriously deep hopping; mid is balanced well; final has some yogurt and sourness. Medium heavy body. Very well-balanced brew; not over-the-top. Tasty stuff.

Very good golden orange color with white head, nice legs. Lots of tasty floral and strong sweet aroma. The palate is covered with lupulin. Its real hoppy but lots of grain to back up the bitterness. Its rounded out and well made but hoppy!

The body was a little too thick for my taste. Understood it was an imperial but it lacked the crispness I had hoped for.

Cloudy dark orange with a tiny pale head. Aroma is passionfruit, touch of pine. Somewhat subdued on the palate with a short finish and some lingering bitterness. Taste is passionfruit, grapefruit, pine and lemon peel. Meh

UPDATED: JUN 22, 2013 On tap in a signature sleeve at eTap on Howe St in Vancouver. A very nicely balanced IIPA.

On tap at St Augustine’s on The Drive. A murky amber color, with moderate whitish head. Bitter hops up front. The hop profile is both bitter and sweet, but not notably citrus. The overall effect is crisp and refreshing. Not much malt coming through. A small malt note on the end.
