3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle courtesy of my cousinís trip to Portland a few weeks back. Pours an awesome orange/amber hazy color with a creamy head. (Personal like with a DIPA) After having their single IPA be old and underwhelming I didnít have much promise for this one. Turns out the nose is full of hops and just a bit of dankness. (Another like) The taste is very bitter up front with some light malt followed by a great grapefruit, pine, resin taste to finish. Somewhat difficult to drink but again something I enjoy with a DIPA as I donít want to pound these beers. The mouthfeel is slightly viscous but to a pleasant level and the hops help cut that in opinion. Overall, a very good DIPA. Not ranking with the elite but something Iíd love to have again and would seek out if it was a regular offering around these parts.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Thanks to Arbitrator for sharing this bomber. Hazy golden in color with a small white head. The aroma is pretty nice for a DIPA, very citric and somewhat resinous. Good flavor as well, with orange, tangerine, and grapefruit, as well as a bit of pine. Medium-bodied, not at all syrupy and actually refreshing, with average-plus carbonation and a good hop oil bite. Overall tasty and enjoyable.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours hazy orange-yellow with a thick and creamy white head. Aroma just bursts out of the bottle: tons of grapefruit and semi-sweet citrus. Flavor is a bit sweet up front, heavy citrus/tangerine, with a bitter finish. Harsh on the palate with the bitterness and some alcohol burn, but not at all unpleasant. Excellent!

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
I was quite impressed with this. Citrus and pine hops. Caramel malt balance. All around a good iipa. It was only $7 for a bomber at Baileys taproom in portland so i felt it was a good value for a bar.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Spicy, resin oozes from the glass. A brilliantly clear liquid gold with presistent white head. A sweet spiciness of hop flavor with a resinous finish; the malt allows the hops to shine. Medium body with proper carbonation and oily finish. A sweetness on the aftertaste keeps the hops from destroying your palate and allows you to retaste the hops with each sip. Great tounge scraper.

Poured into a snifter. Big thanks to psiweaver for this.
3.5 A: Hazy brownish light orange. One finger of creamy off-white head with not so great retention and just touches of lacing.
4.5 S: Floral, citrusy, and grassy hops. Plenty of orange and a bit of mango. Malts are neutral, but have a good strength to it. Despite the haziness, this isnít too yeasty. In fact, itís really clean, which I like.
4.0 T: Interesting. Never had a DIPA quite like this. It isnít infected, but it has a sourish sweetness to it. Iím not sure if this comes from a combination of hop flavor, booze, and malts or if there is some sort of independent sourness to it. Mild bitterness. Orange, pine, and lemony hop flavor. Malts again add a nice complexity with some caramel.
4.5 M: Heavier medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Good creaminess and super smooth. Touch of warming booze on finish.
4.5 D: Unique and pretty good. Iím really digging the sour maltiness. I think I may put a pound of lactose into my next DIPA. Anyway, this is a good choice for a hoppy beer and not a bad choice for a malty beer either. I recommend it.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tried out of a 22 oz bottle. Dry nose. The hops character is reminiscent of tropical fruit. Very fine carbonation. Thin and alcoholic in the finish. -B
