Murky sap color, light lacing that lingers throughout. Citrus-floral nose with a little sour cream. Pleasant effervescence. Pronouced hop in the back with just a little resin, but doesn’t hang around. Very drinkable without any harsh alcohol pop. A really fine Imperial IPA.

Smells hoppy, fruity, some pine and citrus. Tastes slightly bitter with a nice gentle bitter. Great refreshing beer for a hot sunny day.

Can from the Bierkoning in Amsterdam. Very thick and frothy, creamy, dense, yellowish white head over a misty orange blonde beer, becoming ever more cloudy with deposit, with pale yellowish yeast bits floating around everywhere. Strong aroma of pine needles and cedar, buttermilk (diacetyl?), tangerine, mango, fried eggs, butterscotch, grapefruit, green olives, flowers, raspberry. Crisp fruity onset, exotic mango and pineapple impressions, very smooth mouthfeel with softish carbo; slight salty touch over a lightly caramelly backbone, yeasty but especially intensely hop bitter, very long and resiny, very piney but somewhat restrainedly citrussy, peppery and drying for a long time, with just a slight hint of pleasurably warming alcohol in the end.

355 ml can. Pours a hazy orange golden colour with a small head. Aroma of fresh citrus, herbs and some orange pith. Flavour of juicy orange, citrusy hops, grass, caramel sweetness, herbs and mango. Mild graininess. Juicy and sweet, but nicely hopped too.

0,33l can at home. Amber colourer beer with white medium head. Some dark particles. Aroma is sweet malts, tropical fruit and mango. Pretty mild and not that complex. Taste sweet malts, fermented fruit and bitter ending with piny and resin notes. Over medium palate and low carbonates. More like an usual IPA than an imperial IPA.

Clear warm golden colour, white head. Hoppy aroma, tropical fruits, apricot, pineapple. Bitter flavour, quite sweet, pine, resin. Bitter finish, light caramel, hops. Nice.

Idiosynkrasie (4807) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - JUN 22, 2015
650ml bottle. Barely clear, deep golden colour with average to huge, thick, frothy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Caramel malty aroma, citrusy hoppy overtones, notes of orange, tangerin, some pine. Taste is slightly sweet caramel malty, citrusy hoppy overtones, mild bitterness, a minimally soapy touch, some orange, tangerine, a zesty touch; almost a bit watery (especially considering it being an IIPA). Flawless, but rather boring. (and btw, quite horrible "artwork").

Bottle. Teku glass. Golden, hazy with medium to big, semi-densed, white head. Good lacing. Medicore head retention. Strong piney and citrus (grapefruit) aroma, also some medium earthy notes, light floral notes. Malty profile is not so distinguishable - some light caramel and grainy notes. The taste is medium to high bitter, but at first you fell some semi-sweet grainy notes. Medium to full body, creamy texture, average carbonation, finish is dry and bitter. In overall potent IIPA in terms of hops, but not in terms of malts. Something between high malty and hoppy IIPA and super dry, highly armoatic, almostly perfume-like IIPA.

66cl bottle. Cloudy golden pour with medium thick white head, nice lacing. Aromas of fresh spruce, bread and citrus. Taste is very bitter, dry and sour. Low carbonation, slightly oily palate. Aftertaste is long and dry, hoppy ride with mouth-drying finish. Textbook DIPA, but boring.
